April 17, 2013 marks the 120th anniversary of the founding of my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. I am proud and delighted to be part of a wonderful organization, and to have found such wonderful Sisters throughout the country.
I really feel that I didn’t find AXiD, but that AXiD found me, and I’ve never been happier. TFJ
I love getting messages from sisters across the country on here! It makes me realize that even though I may never meet them in person, they do see and appreciate things I’m doing. The internet really makes it easy to see how big my sisterhood really is and how the principles of TFJ and Alpha Xi Delta really apply in real life.
Today is my sorority’s 119th birthday. I must admit that joining Alpha Xi Delta was a fabulous decision and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. We all have our differences, but there’s something that makes each of us an AXiD. And, apparently in spite of our Nationals, we all have and share a great sisterhood.
So, here’s to us, all of my sisters, and happy birthday, Alpha Xi Delta! TFJ
My thoughts are with the families and chapter sisters of the three young ladies who lost their lives and the two who are in the hospital suffering from injuries.
So, my maid of honor caught my bouquet last year. I only had the one - not one to keep and one to throw. Apparently, she kept it, dried it, and waited to give it to me as a present for my first anniversary. I’m pretty sure this is why she’s my favorite.
